If you would like to make lotion candles, you will need Cocoa or any sweet smelly butter.

Do not forget to add Beeswax.

The most important thing is candlewick by your choice.

Melt butter and mix it with Beeswax, add that in the candle mold and at the end add candlewick.

Leave it a few minutes to cool it down.

Later on, you will see what else you can use to make a candle.

What is lotion candle?

Lotion candle or how others like to say massage candle is a natural candle. We are making them from soy and from ingredients we are using for skin-nurturing.

It is a perfect candle while taking a massage or you would like to relax in a beautiful and warm bath. I adore using lotion candle while massaging my wife.

She is so relaxed, and she files like a newborn.

Isn’t that perfect?

You should try this out. You will enjoy it.

What are the reasons to use lotion candle?

There are so many reasons and benefits using lotion candle.

First and the most important reason is the lotion candle is natural. Which means there are no toxic ingredients.

Everything is a little bit toxic these days, so this is very refreshing. Also, this candle lasts longer than other candles.

The second reason is we are using 100% clean and natural soybean wax to make them.

A third reason is that lotion candle burns at low temperature. Which means it will not be that hot in your room while having this candle burning.

Another reason why should you use lotion candle is that they don’t release any toxins while burning in your house. So it’s even safe to use them while your baby or pet is near.

And the last reason why we like to use lotion candles is that they are rich with vitamin E. While burning, they emit Vitamin E around the room. So it’s healthy and relaxing — two crucial benefits.

Can you use candle wax as a lotion?

Yes, you can.

There is no reason why you shouldn’t use it as a lotion. We said already it is very healthy and made from natural materials.

You can use it for your feet and your hands.

My wife likes to use wax as a lotion daily. It helps her a lot with her skin. After she started using wax as a lotion, her skin became very soft. She doesn’t have skin problems as she had before.

But, we are all different, and this may not help you as it helped her.

Before you start using it as a daily lotion, you should ask someone who knows more, and how knows better then we do.

I wanted to be a professional massager, but I figured on time that I like to enjoy. So it would be tough for me to massage others and not to be one that is getting a massage.

Before using lotion candle for a massage, you need to burn it for at least 10 minutes to heat it. You can use it while it’s warmer and it’s liquid.

Or you can wait a few minutes to cool it down to get lotion mixture.

Also, please add a little bit of essential oil in the mix. It will have a better smell. There are a lot of essential oils, so pick one of your favorites.

If you want, you can share with us which one you are using the most.

We do recommend you Orange, Lemon, and Rosemary essential oils.

They found to be the most stimulating and they are improving circulation. Vitamin E will take care of your skin because most of the skincare products have Vitamin E.

What butter to use to make lotion candles?

To make lotion candles, you will need Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter. People are using them mostly. Reasons are that they are both natural and they are accessible to melt.

For those who don’t know what the Shea Butter is and how we are getting it, we are going to explain now.

We get Shea Butter extracted from the nut of the African tree.

And regarding Cocoa Butter, we are getting it from Cocoa bean. People are using it for various purposes.

What do you need to make lotion candles?

There are a few things you will need to get before you start making your first lotion candle.

You can buy these things in the local store.

For those who like to purchase online, you can order it from Amazon.

We like to order it online in bulk because of excellent discounts. If you think you are going to destroy your first candle, then you should buy online.

So, let’s get straight to the point.

For this, we are going to need wick for a candle. We are suggesting to use a little larger candlewick.

Smaller wicks can burn faster. So it’s better to use larger.

Next thing you are going to need is candle mold or any other container or even a jar to mix everything.

We prefer to mix everything in one dish. It’s easier.

Like we said before, we need Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Beeswax. Also, to melt everything you need wax warming stand.

That’s all, and you are ready to go and to make your first candle.

Fun part!

Finally, we came to the fun part where we are going to make a candle.

If you think it’s going to be hard and that you are not going to make your first candle beautiful, then you are probably right.

Only if you are not professional in this and you want to try something new.

So, don’t worry.

That’s normal and fine. If first isn’t perfect, then second is going to be for sure! You need to practice to get an ideal product.

  • Step 1. Put in the dish one part of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, 2g of Beeswax. Use your wax warming stand to melt everything. Add oils you chose and stir it.
  • Step 2. After you melted everything, you will need wick. At the beginning of this article, we said you should use a larger one. So, put that candlewick there at the bottom carefully. You can make your candlewick or to buy one. Whatever you like and prefer the most. In the beginning, my wife and I wanted to make our candle wicks, but it was just a waste of our time. Sometimes you can’t make everything by yourself.
  • Step 3. Now you will have to wait a few minutes to cool it, and you have your very first lotion candle.

Was this so hard?

I think not.

It is effortless to make lotion candle. Most of the time, you have to wait either to cool or to melt. When you start using them, you can’t stop later.

So take your time, relax, and enjoy with lotion candles. If you are tired, fill your bath, prepare a candle, and relax.
